My Baby in Boston

So here I am in Boston to be with my daughter who will be having surgery on Monday in the morning. Those of you who are praying, thank you for your love and care but with your praying I would like to ask your indulgence to another request.

We are called to be a people of praise. We are called to come before his gates with thanksgiving. I respectfully ask that you praise our LORD and SAVIOR for all the wonderful things that HE has blessed you and I with. We take so much for granted. Look around you and think about what life would be like without the blessings that are before you and I right now. As I look out the apartment window here, I can see boats and ships moving about on the east harbor. The birds are singing and the wind come and goes in great gusts and then it is calm. The temperature was in the 70s today and the colors of fall are all about us. It is beautiful here....

JESUS is the LORD of my life. As I recall, HE taught us to come before HIS FATHER, my FATHER, when we pray and to do it in HIS (JESUS') name. Let us hold HIS name in reverence.
HIS kingdom will come... but think of this... HIS kingdom is right here, right now within us. If we claim the name of JESUS, we are HIS and the FATHER is ours because of HIM. If we are truly HIS, then the COMFORTER has come and bears witness of HIM teaching us through this life. So glorify HIM...lift HIM up... magnify HIM... We have been given the strength and power to call help when we need it. We are to come boldly and with thanksgiving. We are to believe when we pray and praise!

Do you need help, too? In the flesh we all need help... but in CHRIST we are the help that HE desires us to be. We are to be HIS hands, HIS feet, HIS voice, and HIS love.

Are you discouraged? We are to put on the garment of praise, but first we must take off the garment of heaviness. The two garments cannot exist together. Meditate on these words of scripture... these words were before HE came in the flesh... they were read by JESUS while HE was in the flesh here on earth... and now they are within us... and also think HE is the WORD... this is a mystery but one, which answers many doubts when you and I understand the significance of its meaning. No matter what period of time, HE is with us... past, present, and future... Isaiah 61:1-3

The spirit of the LORD GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good things unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound; To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD and the day of vengeance of our GOD; to comfort all that mourn; To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.

Think not only on these words above but these words below...

But the fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance, against such there is no law. Galations 5:22-23
How can we give these things out, unless we have these things... we cannot offer love to others unless we have it, we cannot offer joy unless we have it, we cannot offer peace unless we have it, etc. Many of us have it for ourselves but have not begun to offer it to others... What good is my fruit, your fruit unless we share it?

I have been given the opportunity to share many spiritual things with others. I try to make myself available to my family, friends, and co-workers because I believe this is what GOD has called me to do. I am often weak in my daily walk. I often walk in the flesh and become discouraged, but when I think of who I belong to I gain strength and I'm able to minister to others. I am like the prodigal son at some time during every day. When I realize that I am operating in my own power instead of the power of the HOLY SPIRIT, my heart is convicted and I have to repent of my selfishness. After all HE has said, Come unto me... those who are weak and heavy laden and I will give you rest.

With praise and thanksgiving I make my requests known to GOD... I have friends who are dealing with cancer in their own bodies or within family members, there are those who have loved ones on duty in the military, there are those who have diabetes in many stages of the disease~~I will offer my praise to HIS HOLY NAME and ask blessings on behalf of them. I have friends who are out of work, friends who have had to make great sacrifices for a day to day existence, friends who have no health insurance and I know the government is not the answer here~~GOD is~~I will sing Hallelujah HE is LORD and the lifter of my head. I have a husband and children (including a son and daughter-in-law and grandchild) who are my true loves here on this earth, I lift each one totally up in prayer that GOD grant the petitions of my heart spoken and unspoken. ~~I will honor my SAVIOR and praise HIM (in my mind when I cannot speak or sing aloud) and aloud whenever I am able.

We wrestle not against flesh and blood but against principalities and powers. Let us not forget this as we walk out into the world on a daily basis... many, truly do not know what they are doing or saying~~we need to take no offense, put a guard on our lips and give it all to the FATHER in the name of JESUS. Let us always be pleasing unto GOD that JESUS may brag on us to the FATHER who loved us so much...

Blessed are thou, O LORD, our GOD, KING of the Universe who is, who was, and is to come.

What Makes the Sabbath So Special?

October 23~~Shabbat
(This is Larry Huch's teaching with added notes from my own study and understanding. Monica)

We have let people tell us what the Bible says
instead of studying it for ourselves! WE ALL NEED TO STUDY IT!

Luke 4 Jesus is tempted of Satan and then the miracles of healing begin… There are no limits on GOD. But, we don’t understand that HE HAS NO LIMITS… we may say it with our lips... but we don’t know it in our hearts…

Study to show thyself approved unto GOD, rightly dividing the WORD of truth…2 Tim. 2:15

An example:
We are condemned by preaching, saying we are teaching the law when we teach the Torah, (the books of the law, the books of Moses~ Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy.) But, these same teachers, preachers will turn around and condemn you and say if you don’t tithe you are stealing from GOD. Sowing a seed is a Jewish teaching. This is the law and this is just one example.

We are not about teaching the law for the law's sake... The truth is we are not teaching the law… we are studying GOD… and seeking to get closer to HIM...

We need to study to find out what we are missing… study that our lives may be reflective of GOD in all areas.

When we study as a Christian, we usually study some main texts to help us along (Spurgeon and others). But, when we study Jewish Roots, we have other main texts to pull from, also. They all have merit, but we must first open the WORD and study it and then pay attention to those who have also studied and who have learned.

But there is a danger, some people get so caught up in the “others” that they don’t know the WORD. GOD will help you discern HIS WORD because you are seeking HIM. HE will lead you to others to help your search, but don’t stop studying the BIBLE. It is HIS WORD!

An example:
· In Jewish teaching, there is an offering of capirote (sorry I don't have the spelling, I guessed)… where a wife can sanctify her unsaved husband, and a parent can sanctify her children. There is scripture in the New Testament that connects with that… 1 Corinthians 7
· Sow the seed… reap the blessing GOD is raising up anointed people throughout Christiandom who are studying and seeking GOD. These will be able to reveal truth from scripture that has been overlooked in the past. When GOD's children begin to practice what they preach, the miracles will manifest around them. Hallelujah!

When we say we’re studying the Torah or Jewish Roots, religious people become offended. Its because they only know the surface of GOD. Most religious people know know what they have been taught, what they have been fed. They need to reach out and begin to feed themselves. (Think of the baby in the high chair that must depend upon someone to feed him/her. Christian, you are not a baby. Get your plate or go hungry and die of starvation spiritually!)

Another example can be found when we study “the hem of his garment”

  • There are several levels of study in Hebrew. The first level is just to get the simple revelation from the text presented. Most people never leave this level.
  • The next level is connection: A secret to study is when GOD connects two things and this is a mystery that HE wants to reveal to you. The woman with the issue of blood had it 12 years and the daughter of Jarius was 12 years old. This is a real connection and with it there are more mysteries to be revealed. Each connection reveals more of GOD to us.
  • As you study further… you will enter into the next levels of study… the next levels of revelation… revelations from the old to the new testaments… revelations beyond scripture manifested in your life... your testament... your testimony...

Find the things that connect to reveal a mystery.
Find the mystery to get the miracle (blessing)…
Start at Luke 4:14~ JESUS taught on the Sabbath… read from Isiah~~. The spirit of the LORD is upon me
Start at Mark :1:21~ JESUS taught on the Sabbath… cast out demons, the enemy revealed the Holy one of GOD
Start at Mark 6:7~JESUS taught on the Sabbath… the religious questioned where did such wisdom come from
Start at Luke 4:36~ the demons came out and called him the CHRIST, the SON of GOD~ JESUS must preach for the purpose that was set…
Start at Matt.12:9~ JESUS teaching by example on the Sabbath… healed the withered hand
Start at John 5:1~ JESUS teaching by example on the Sabbath… healed the cripple…who is this man?
Start at Luke 13:10~ JESUS teaching on the Sabbath… healed the woman (infirmity) who was bent over and could not rise up
Start at Luke 14:1~ JESUS taught on the Sabbath… healed
Start at John 9:1~ JESUS taught on the Sabbath … healed the blind man

The connection is the Sabbath with JESUS teaching and healing on the Sabbath. The next level of study is for you to connect mysteries… then GOD will reveal miracles... HE will reveal them in scripture and then again in your life. Every miracle in the scriptures mentioned was done on the Sabbath. Why the Sabbath? In Judeaism, it is taught that the Sabbath is the day of miracles. Could there be any question then why JESUS chose the Sabbath to reveal HIMSELF and the miracles?

In the last days there will be a group of Gentiles whose eyes will be opened and they will be the children of miracles. Paul says there is a day of miracles~ the scriptures reveal that it is the seventh day, the Sabbath!

Look around… it is the last days…
In the last days… there will be a lawless generation… but with a group whose eyes are open to GOD...

The scriptures are written by inspiration of GOD. HE revealed HIMSELF by HIS WORD and it was written. HE revealed HIMSELF to HIS chosen leaders through voice and manifestation in order that they and we may understand. HE revealed HIMSELF sometimes through great trials. HE revealed HIMSELF through healing. HE revealed HIMSELF through angels and a talking donkey. HE revealed HIMSELF through HIS voice and HE revealed in ways we know nothing about but will know in the future.

GOD is omniponent (unlimited in authority and power),omniscience (knows everything there is to know), and omnipresent (everywhere at once). This is HE, who wants to reveal HIMSELF to us even now.

The church had us turn from our Jewish roots on purpose 1,700 years ago, but the church was unable to take this revelation from HIS children. The word says they have eyes but don’t see and ears that don’t hear. GOD was aware that elements in the church would be corrupt. HE would view the history as it happened, but HE also knew all things would happen. GOD was not surprised and is not surprised.

When we remember that GOD is FATHER, we can understand that sometimes HE does not just give us what we want. HE wants us to learn and sometimes the best learning takes place as we are encouraged to do, be and say as HE directs. HE is teaching us how to walk spiritually. HE is teaching us how to run spiritually. He is teaching us how to ride a bike spiritually. We can’t do these things spiritually unless we try to do them. HE does not magically make us do them, we must learn and HE is with us while we learn. HE has such an amazing grace!

Every week for those who seek HIM, there is a window of miracles. The scripture points out the day of the Sabbath. On those days it is recorded that the LORD healed. It was GOD’s supernatural time on the calendar. The miracle outpouring of GOD’s blessing is the Sabbath...the Sabbath is the open window.

This doesn’t mean you don’t pray, teach, preach, serve on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday… It doesn’t mean that miracles can’t happen on those days. It just means that the Sabbath is holy and with it more can happen! Remember scripture about the double blessing? Each day GOD created was blessed by HIM for man. But, the Sabbath, was blessed more. It’s GOD’s appointed time. We are to expect the supernatural on the Sabbath.

What if we had church on Friday (the Sabbath) and had a bigger crowd on Friday than on Sunday? GOD’s creation was completed in six days. Everything that was made was finished in six days. HE created all these things to bless man. So what did HE end on the seventh day? It was the menuha, it was the blessing! It was the blessing of peace, joy, victory, health, happiness, debt cancellation, etc. That is why we enter into the Sabbath (not rest as in sleep but) menuha (as in blessing).

The Sabbath is our Friday at sundown and goes through our Saturday at sundown. Friday is the time that the world goes partying. If we of faith are honoring the Sabbath, there is blessing...

When we celebrate Shabbat, we celebrate life and that life more abundantly.

Shabbat, in brief then is…

  • Candles—are the light in the darkness—Be JESUS, be light in the world!
  • Wine—is the symbol of joy—Refill it weekly on the Sabbath! (spiritual)
  • Bread—is the symbol of the double portion—claim it on the Sabbath! (natural)~~Call those things which are not as though they are…

May GOD richly bless you... May you be filled with the joy of the LORD that you may be strengthened from day to day... May GOD give you the double portion in your journey on this earth... and May you be a blessing to others as GOD would have you to be...

Love and Prayers,

Monica

They will know us by our Love...

Hello Dear Friends,

It is so good to know that we are of like minds as we work beside one another.... that we believe in GOD, that CHRIST is our SAVIOUR, and that the HOLY SPIRIT dwells within us to teach us and guide us in HIS most glorious way, if we but listen to HIS calling on our lives.

We may not see each other much, just in passing, but we are striving for the same purpose. We believe that the children we teach have a greater purpose even than we have. We believe that they will pick up where we leave off. We believe that good character creates good citizens and we desire that these children grow to become leaders upholding truth that never changes and for us that truth is CHRIST.

We may never know the impact that our unspoken teaching has on the ones we teach. We must live a life, as much as possible and with GOD's grace, before these children that is like that of our LORD. They will know us by our love of one another! The LORD didn’t say, they will know us by our speech, but by our love and we, as teachers especially know it's not always what we say but what we do that teaches the most..
So now I am giving you a new commandment: Love each other. Just as I have loved you, you should love each other. Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples.” John 13:34-35, New Living Testament

When we greet each other with a holy smile, when we speak sweet positives to each other, when they see us genuinely hug each other…they will know… They will know. They will watch and wonder why… They will watch and learn… We will be reinforcing the teaching of Christian moms and dads and influencing those that are not of the faith. We may be ridiculed when we start really acting more and more like Christians. Ridicule should not stop us from acting like CHRIST. Didn’t CHRIST also suffer ridicule? Let us not forget the greatest commission that HE gave to us. Go ye therefore and teach all nations… all things whatsoever I have commanded you. - Matthew 28: 19-20, King James Version Isn’t it amazing that we get to reach nations within our very own school?

And he promises… I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Matthew 28:20, King James Version

It is grand thing that here in America, everyone is offered the opportunity in freedom to receive an education so that everyone may learn to read and write. It is also a grand thing to know that America was established as a Christian nation. The world has known America as a Christian nation from our beginnings. But, there are those who desire to renege on this idea and ideal. We witness anti-christian values gaining ground many times. Yet, we must remember that GOD is in ultimate control. HE gives and he takes away. Human power is short lived, but GOD is forever! Let’s not forget that! Lift up your head and hearts, and know that HE is there with you always.

We may not know HIS plan, but we know HE has a plan... and that the outcome will be glorious for those who do not falter in their faith. The blessed hope that is in me and my prayer is that we, America, return to what we were established to be as Americans. We have already lost some freedom. Think about it, as a nation, how many political decisions have been made that are not biblically sound and that we, as Christians, do not agree with. But, GOD knows our hearts individually. HE loves us and even in the midst of great storms, HE is there. HE is here! We are free in HIM!

Praise HIM for HIS kindness to us everyday. Praise HIM for allowing us to know one another. Praise HIM in the storms and in the calm. We have so much to be thankful for.
